pictures & things
I’ve always loved to go back through my old sketchbooks and randomly re-draw things here and there. The drawing on the left is from one of my 2009-era sketchbooks. One thing that stands out to me in this side-by-side comparison is that the re-drawn face has a lot more character and energy in it, more of a sense of a real person rather than a static, flat 2D character. Having my drawings be vivid and expressive is something that’s important to me, so I’m pleased to see that I’ve improved in this area and hopefully I’ll continue to improve. :)

hi! I have a lot of art to post here, I am going to try to be better at being consistent with posting things. I have been cranking out a lot of drawings in my spare time, it’s difficult now that I’m working full time, but not being able to draw for 8 hours each day at work seems to only fuel my desire to draw when I get home!

This brushet released by Loish has basically changed my life and given me new drive and inspiration, so that’s a factor too.

<3 hope you’re well

this drawing was really fun—the style is different to what I usually do, but I enjoyed it and I’ll definitely keep coming back to it.
inspired by this drawing by Lois Van Baarle, who is my biggest inspiration at the moment.

here is a WIP sketch of a drawing I’m working on! Marceline and PB in winterwear. It needs a lot more work, I’m excited to see how it turns out.
